About Laura L Leatherwood
My name is Laura L. Leatherwood of Pen & Ink Magic. I am a longtime abstract artist based in Southern California. My current vision consists of unveiling fluid movement along with imaginative grunge in an artful yet skilled composition. During my design process, I make every effort to tap into a myriad of deep emotions of my inner psyche and exhibit them accordingly. It is my ambition to invite art enthusiasts on a visual adventure by delving into their own inner sanctum and establishing a link to similar scenarios within their own journey. In seemingly new creative ways, my work tends to be a dynamic mix of colors with each color stroke adding contrast and mood to the substrate before me. My preferred art medium is either paint or ink on paper. I take joy in mixing traditional art materials while finalizing the piece within a desktop digital environment. Therefore, my work comprises of a harmonious balance between these two areas of artistic disciplines, creating a unique piece of art.
